During the first two weeks of July, we take a break from classes at ICA.  Our break will begin on Sunday 28 June, 2009 and classes will resume on Sunday 12th July, 2009.

We would like to invite our ICA community to share in the celebrations of our recent gradutes, their friends and family, along with ICA staff by listening to our graduation calls.  ICA Business Development Manager and Kurt Stewart, Global Development Manager are our wonderful hosts and we acknowledge Bill for such a great job in dealing with an unknown guest who caused a bit of disruption throughout the first half of graduation ceremony 2.  Well done Bill, it wasn’t easy!

These two virtual celebrations took place on 1 June, 2009 at 2pm & 8pm.  We congratulate our graduates and wish them well in their coaching futures.

We are very excited to annouce the appointment of Sally Bridger as our COO (Chief Operations Officer).  Many members of our community here at ICA would know Sally as our Marketing Manager, but may not know that Sally has been with ICA since the virtual doors opened and has extensive knowledge of many different operational areas of ICA.  Over the past 8 years Sally has been an intergral member of the management and growth of ICA, contributing at all levels.

Over the last few years Sally has pursued studying for her Masters in Marketing, and sets high standards for herself, continually achieving HD results.  Sally embraces responsibility and has an amazing ability to take a creative idea and put it into practice.  Sally is passionate about ICA/Lobii  and will be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow and move forward as a community.

We would like to take this opportunity to announce that Sheri Boone has accepted a new position at ICA as our Training Coordinator.  Sheri is an amazing coach, and as a coach brings great depth to our community here at ICA.  Sheri is already a very valued member of our staff and steps into this role bringing with her a wealth of experience.  Sheri has now been with ICA for four years, and in that time has taught many of the different modules in CPCP, is a member of the Supervised Coach and Assessment teams, as well as managing our internal peer coaching program.  There is simply nothing that Sheri has not been a part of at ICA, and we congratulate her on this new position.

In keeping with our commitment to keep our curriculum and assessment process fresh and relevant, we have made some changes to the assesments and the assessment process.

Recently, ICA Learning Leader, Sherry Read was lucky enough to visit Bermuda.  Whilst there Sherry, took the opportunity to connect with two of our graduates, Naomi Schroter and Judy Motyer, who reside in this beautiful part of the world.  By all accounts it was a wonderful get together, albeit far too short!

The Learning Labs are a great opportunity for all students and graduates to come along to experiment and trial new ideas.  You can run a 20-minute session and have an audience to give you feedback on a new concept that you have.  Trainers will also be in the Learning Labs and presenting, so it’s a great time to come along.  You can come any time, whenever it’s on and as many times as you want to.  There’s no limit!  For all details including, times, days and bridge line visit the Academic Calendar.

Registrations are now being taken for Supervised Coach classes commencing the first week of August, 2009. If you are planning to graduate in December, get in early and register now for August Supervised Coach.

Please note that due to the ICA program break there will be no Supervised Coach classes commencing the first week of July.

Each Supervised Coach class is limited to 6 students and require a minimum of 4 students for the class to go ahead. You will receive confirmation of your registration once your preferred time option has received 4 registrations. Please visit our Supervised Coach page, via the learnsite, for more details.

How do I register ?

To register for classes beginning August you must:

1. Refer to the Academic Calendar August 2009 to check available times
2. Nominate 2 time options that are suitable for you
3. Register now by clicking here

Registrations are now open for September 2009 Graduation and we invite students who are planning to graduate in September to register anytime from now.

Registration allows students to choose which ceremony they wish to attend, along with completing details for certification. A formal invitation containing further information pertaining to graduation will be sent out to each student who registers, 2 weeks prior to the graduation date. 

The graduation ceremony will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 with 2 ceremonies for students to choose from.

ICA is very excited to announce once again a new Family & Youth CoP commencing this week.  New ICA team members, Rob Stringer and Coach Nakumbe, will join together with Merci Miglino in introducing this new CoP to our student community in our first Family & Youth CoP class, scheduled for Monday, 1 June, 2009 at 9pm NY ET.  This class will be followed later in the week, when Coach Nakumbe will facilitate another Family & Youth CoP class on Wednesday at 10am NY ET.

These classes will be ongoing each week at the same times.

ICA would like to extend a warm welcome to Coach Nakumbe and Rob Stringer.  Both Nakumbe and Rob are graduates of ICA and they join our wonderful Learning Leader team.  Coach and Rob both bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge and will begin a new CoP, Family & Youth, beginning next week.  Rob will begin facilitating the Monday, 9pm NY ET, Family & Youth CoP, beginning 1 June and Nakumbe will begin facilitating the Wednesday, 10am NY ET, Family & Youth CoP, beginning 3 June.

These new time options will give students the opportunity to attend this valuable new CoP.

Due to popular demand, we have decided to make a change to the time for CoP Career, Tuesdays, facilitated by Joanne Waldman.

Beginning the 2 June, 2009 this class will now move to the new time of 9am NY ET, from the current 4pm timeslot.  Joanne will continue to facilitate this class. The Academic Calendar has been updated to reflect this change.

With our next graduation just a few weeks away, we would like to take this opportunity to remind students who are planning to graduate in June to register now.

ICA would like to extend a warm welcome to Claire Molinard.  Claire is a recent graduate of ICA and  joins our wonderful Learning Leader team bringing with her a wealth of experience and training.  Claire will initailly begin facilitating a new CoP Spiritual time option.  This new option will give students another opportunity to attend this valuable CoP and it will take place on Fridays at 9am, commencing 15 May 2009.

As mentioned previously, ICA is excited to welcome Claire Molinard to the Learning Leader team.  This has enabled us to offer students the opportunity to participate in a new time option for our CoP Spiritual.

This new time option will commence Friday 15 May @ 9am.

Earlier this week ICA celebrated the commencement of our Chinese CPCP program, with a wonderful opening ceremony.  During the ceremony our first intake of Chinese speaking CPCP students were welcomed and acknowledged in a truly amazing event, filled with great excitement and energy.   Bronwyn Bowery-Ireland, ICA CEO. shared her passionate vision for not only coach training in China, but human development globally.  What a truly exciting time to be a part of ICA as we embrace our global community once again.

Classes for our Chinese CPCP program will commence next week, with Learning Leaders, Felecia Lauw and Pin Hsuan Chen facilitating. 

Congratulations to everyone involved, who came together to organize this amazing moment at ICA!
