March 15th, 2006 under Acknowledgement, Newsworthy Events. [ Comments: none ]

Joanne Waldman is the recipient of the 2006 University of Missouri-Columbia College of Education Citation of Merit for Outstanding Achievement and Meritorious Service.

This award is based upon Joanne’s career in counseling, coaching, and service to teaching/training and the community. One of the reasons the committee chose Joanne was her leading edge work as a coach and a teleclass leader, particularly at International Coach Academy.

Joanne is receiving this honor as she has devoted her life to the mission of increasing the quality and purpose of so many people’s lives through her work. In 1982, Joanne received her Master’s Degree in counseling from the college of Education.

Congratulations Joanne!

Day Light Savings Affects Teleclass Presentations
March 15th, 2006 under Teleclasses, Newsworthy Events. [ Comments: none ]

Day light saving will start in the US on 2nd April 2006 and, because the ICA Academic Calendar is based on NY EST, this change will affect the time students from many regions around the world attend teleclasses.

** If you live in the US **
The times you attend teleclasses will not change. But, make sure you turn your clock forward an hour on the 2nd April for the start of day light saving.

** If you live outside the US **
The times you attend teleclasses will change. You will need to update your teleclass conversions as follows:

All students: Reconvert the time of your classes as of the 2nd April (until the 29th October when DLS finishes in the US).
Some students: Reconvert the time of your classes again if your country starts or finishes DLS on a date other than the 2nd April.
Please click on this link for a list of when countries start/finish day light saving http://timeanddate.com/time/dst2006a.html

To reconvert times, click on http://www.timeanddate.com or http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html

If you have any queries, please email support@icoachacademy.com

And of course, dont forget,
- if you are starting day light saving you need to turn your clock forward an hour
- if you are finishing day light saving you need to turn your clock back an hour.
