Over the last few weeks ICA has received reports from trainers and students regarding interference (echo’s and background noise) on the ICA Bridge line during some classes. We have contacted our Bridge company and been able to establish that the Bridge line is not yet able to fully support skype and that this is the most likely cause of the interference.
As it is our intention that student be able to access the teleclasses using the most cost efficient method possible (eg. phone cards or skype), we have decided to change our Bridge line provider. We are currently sourcing different options and have an alternative that we will be trialling over the next couple of weeks. We are conscious of not making any quick changes unless we feel sure it will resolve the difficulty.
So, in the meantime, as we continue to use the existing Bridge line, we ask that students dialling in with phone cards or skype mute their lines when they are not speaking. This should reduce the possibility of interference on the lines.
