New Focus for Business Building: Growing Your Business through Group Coaching |
| April 30th, 2007 under Learning and development, Program Updates, Teleclasses. [ Comments: 2 ]

Group Coaching is a form of coaching that taps into the innate resourcefulness of each individual and integrates the wisdom of the group into the individual’s own insights and ideas.
Beginning the week of May 7th, our Business Building course will be facilitated as Group Coaching.
Over the past few years we have supported coaches in growing their business through imparting business related skills. However, what we have learnt is that everyone is in at a different stage of business growth. Some coaches are building websites, some coaches are trying to come up with a company name, some coaches are looking to work out a coaching system for their corporation. Everyone has different needs at different times.
Our commitment is to support our coaches to be successful and thus we have initiated group coaching delivered by a business/marketing coach. Each student must attend 12 group coaching sessions - (one hour teleclass). You can either do 12 all at once or just drop in as you need the coaching. The development of your business will be supported by your group coach and also your fellow colleagues who are participating on the call.

|
Student buddies are highly valued members of the ICA student community who volunteer their time to assist newbies to get up and running with their studies. This could involve sharing first hand experiences or assisting new students to connect with their ICA online community. The time commitment is flexible but generally involves about 1 - 2 hours per month. The requirements of this position are that you be familiar with the ICA learning environment, have great email communication skills and be willing to support new people doing
their coach training.
If you would be interested in being a volunteer student buddy, please contact Amanda Christo via support@icoachacademy.com

Bridge line update - 2nd april 2007 |
| April 1st, 2007 under Assessment, Teleclasses, [STUDENT ADMIN]. [ Comments: none ]
|
|
New Bridge Line
As of the 2nd April, 2007, the Bridge number for all ICA Teleclasses will be
+1 512 597 6253
Access Codes
All courses will have their own access codes and these can be found on the Academic Calendar.
Moderator Codes
These new lines are moderator controlled. This means that all callers will be placed ‘on hold’ until the trainer/moderator joins the call using a special pin code. The moderator pin codes have been published on the Academic Calendar and should only be used by students in the case of a trainer not presenting for a class (see Emergency Bridge line below)
Emergency Bridge line
The Emergency Bridge line has been cancelled and instead, the moderator codes for all teleclasses have been published on the Academic Calendar. A student should only dial in as a moderator if, after 5 mins into the scheduled call, the trainer has not presented for class. By dialling in as a moderator you connect all callers waiting on hold and the class will then have the option to use the class time to network and connect with each other, or, continue on with a class discussion around the scheduled topic.
Important! If you dial in as the moderator you must be able to stay on the call for the duration of the class (if you drop off the call it will cancel the call and dump all callers).

Bridge line update - 1st April 2007 |

Over the past week we have received many reports from students regarding difficulties they have experienced when trying to connect to classes via the new Bridge line (LiveOffice Conferencing). We have also experienced these difficulties and completely understand your frustration.
Prior to moving to this new bridge service, we tested, tested and then re tested the lines and understood them to be the best available in the industry. However, the result has been terrible and quite disruptive for our program.
We are not entirely sure of the core of the problem but understand there is currently a worldwide issue affecting many bridge lines and ours may be one of them. We are waiting for Liveoffice conferencing to get back to us with regard to an urgent solution. However, in the meantime, we have secured an alternative service and will be introducing an alternative bridge line over the next couple of days.
We will notify you via email, the learnsite, the blog and the calendar of any changes to the dial in number for classes.
Thank you again to all our students for their patience and support as we work through this issue.
