ICA Community Bulletin

Student buddies are highly valued members of the ICA student community, who generously donate their time in assisting new students with finding their way within and around the ICA community.  As students that have been with ICA for some time would know, this can sometimes be a little daunting to begin with. Being a buddy could involve sharing first hand experiences, or assisting new students to connect with their online community. 

Whilst being a buddy does involve a time commitment, it is very flexible and should only involve a few hours a month.  Students wishing to become a part of our wonderful buddy team, should be familiar with the ICA environment, and be willing to support new students.

We are interested in buddies from all parts of our global community but are particularly looking for students from Asia, US, Canada and South America.  If you would like to become a buddy or if you would like to learn more about becoming a buddy,  please contact Jamee Tenzer, at jamee.tenzer@icoachacademy.com

We would like to extend an open invitation for all ICA students and graduates to join us for drinks on Wednesday of this week, in Melbourne, Australia.   Several members of the ICA team including Bronwyn Bowery-Ireland, CEO, Robyn Logan, Strategy Director, Sally Bridger, COO, Laurene Vaughan, Trainer, along with staff from our IT, Marketing, Finance and Administration teams, will also be there. 

This will be a friendly and informal gathering, so just drop past and say hi.  No need to RSVP!

As August Supervised Coach classes are now full, registration for September Supervised Coach are now open.

September Supervised Coach will commence the week beginning Monday, 31 August 2009.

Each Supervised Coach class is limited to 6 students and a minimum of 4 students is required for the class to go ahead. You will receive a confirmation email of your registration once your preferred time option has received the necessary 4 registrations. How do I register?

2. Nominate 2 time options that are suitable to you

Our Chinese program which began with an exciting opening ceremony in May of this year has been a great success.

Some of our students currently enrolled in our Chinese program are now ready to be coached and we would like to offer our Chinese speaking students currently enrolled in our English CPCP program, the opportunity to become Peer Coaches to these students.

A reminder to all our students who are planning to graduate September 2009.

Graduation is set to take place Monday, September 14 and we would like to take this opportunity to remind those students who have registered for Graduation, that all assessment requirements need to be submitted to assessment@icoachacademy.com by August 3. This will allow the assessment team the necessary time to assess your submissions.

Registrations are now open for the next ‘Learning Leader’ course, starting Wednesday, 22 July 2009.

The term ‘Learning Leader’ applies to anyone who runs, or intends to run, group learning.  It is a deliberate choice of name, because we believe that is essentially what you are doing - you are leading people in their own learning.

This course is particularly relevant for students and graduates with an interest in group facilitation, including

• group coaching
• leading workshop
• running teleseminars
• chairing meetings
• mentoring colleagues

ICA would like to extend a warm welcome to the newest member of the ICA Training team, Mike Francis.  Mike is a graduate of ICA and brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge, particularly in the area of Sales.  Mike will be the trainer facilitating our new Sales CoP, commencing next week, following the mid year break.  The two time options for our Sales CoP are, Mondays, 6pm NY ET and Tuesdays, 6am NY ET.  Full details are available via the Academic Calendar.

ICA is extremely excited to announce the commencement of not one, but two new CoPs, both commencing next week following our mid year break.  ICA Trainers, Michael Munoz and Prabha Chandrasekhar will be facilitating our new Diversity CoP and new member of the ICA Training team, Mike Francis will facilitate our new Sales CoP.

Diversity will begin on Monday, 13 July, 2009 at 7pm with a special “Introduction to the Diversity CoP” which will be hosted by both Diveristy trainers, Prabha Chandrasekhar and Michael Munoz.  So come along and join them.
