SOME CHANGES TO DECEMBER GRADUATION AND GRADUATION FOR 2009.

December Graduation

It is truly amazing and wonderful that ICA will see over 150 students graduate this December, and due to this and also in response to feedback received from students and ICA staff alike, we have decided to offer a 4th Graduation for December only.

This additional graduation ceremony will take place on Monday, 8 December at 11am NY ET.  Students will be given the opportunity to register and nominate which ceremony they will be attending, when they receive their invitation.  Invitations will be sent out closer to the date.

Dates and times for December Graduation are:

Graduation Ceremony 1 - Friday, 5 December, 2pm NY ET
Graduation Ceremony 2 - Friday, 5 December, 7pm NY ET
Graduation Ceremony 3 - Friday, 5 December, 9pm NY ET
Graduation Ceremony 4 - Monday, 8 December, 11am NY ET

2009 Graduations

Again with our wonderful global community in mind, we have decided to change the day of graduation for 2009, to a Monday as opposed to a Friday. Graduation ceremonies will now take place on the first Monday of March, June, September and December at 2pm & 8pm NY ET.

We are hopeful that the day and times scheduled, offers flexibility for all students from around the world and to all members of our ICA community.

I am very excited to announce our ICA China team.  Heading up the project is ICA graduate Augustine Chow.  Augustine will be Director of Coach Training Services, China.  In his role he will assist in bringing ICA to China.  We have set a target date of 1 September, 2008 for our first teleclass.  We are now working towards building a team, marketing ICA and enrolling new students.  Please see his profile below.

Heading up the training team in China is ICA graduate Felicia Lauw.  Felicia will be Global Training Manager, (Chinese).  Felicia has been working closely with me for the past 18 months.  She has been managing a team of people, to translate our curriculum into Mandarin.  We have nearly completed this task and Felicia is now preparing to build our training team in China to teach teleclasses.  Please see her profile below.

Throughout 2008, ICA will be holding a series of teleconferences designed to spread the word about coaching as a career and, in particular, coach training with ICA.  These calls will be held monthly and will be open to anyone, from anywhere in the world.

As a student of ICA, it is important to us that you have access to this information and these calls so we will email you prior to each event.  Although much of the the content of the calls will often be specific to the coach training research, you are always most welcome to attend or contribute.  Plus, we would love you to pass the information on to your lists, family, friends, and colleagues - bascially, anyone basically anyone you feel would be interested in discovering more about coach
training.

The theme for this months call will be ‘Become a Qualified Coach’, and it will be focused on those who have not yet pursued coach training.  The call will be hosted by Robyn Logan (Strategy Director) and Dennis Griffin (Business Manager).

Over the last couple of weeks we have had some changes to the structure of our management team and also our administration team. The restructuring has occurred for a couple of reasons

1. We need to be set up to grow ICA to the next level (we have big plans)
2. Staff have demonstrated great skill and ability and as a result have been promoted and acknowledged.

Presenting - “Psychology vs. Coaching”

Michelle Lord, a student of ICA, has kindly arranged a dinner in New York City, at which Angela will be giving a presentation titled, “Psychology vs. Coaching” (6th or 7th May - to be confirmed). Michelle is happy to extend an invitation to other students or trainers in the area, who wish to attend.

Angela will also be travelling to various cities during her visit and is happy to give the same presentation in these cities, if students and or fellow trainers are interested and a venue can be arranged ahead of time.

Due to requests from our students, we are now recording the guest speaker calls and making the recordings available through our student bulletin blog.

Listen to Christian Mickelsen speaking on “How to Rocket Launch your Coaching Business”. Christian spoke as ICA’s August guest speaker. The Guest Speaker Series is a public forum (open to anyone) that ICA hosts.
