ICA | Volunteer Opportunity | Do you speak Chinese? |
| September 8th, 2008 under ICA Volunteer, Positions or Opportunities. [ Comments: none ]
|
|
As previously announced in our ‘Community Bulletin’, ICA is very excited to launch our Chinese CPCP (Certified Professional Coach Program), to Chinese speaking coaches from mainland China as well as Chinese speaking coaches living overseas.
This program is identical in every aspect to our English program, except that it will be conducted in Chinese. Therefore, we are looking for volunteer students who are bi-lingual in English and Chinese, who would be interested in supporting our new students as Peer coaches. As current ICA students know, this is a fundamental and very important component of our program, which encourages students to find a coach from within the ICA student community, from the day their training begins at ICA.
If you feel that you may be interested in becoming a part of what could be a most rewarding and beneficial opportunity, or if you would like further information, please email Gwen Nolten-Roqué at gwen.nr@icoachacademy.com

Would you like to be a student buddy? |
| August 20th, 2008 under ICA Volunteer. [ Comments: none ]

|
Student buddies are highly valued members of the ICA student community, who generously donate their time in assisting newbies with finding their way within and around the ICA community. As students that have already been with ICA for some time would know, this can sometimes be a little daunting to begin with. Being a buddy could involve sharing first hand experiences, or assisting new students to connect with their online community.
Whilst being a buddy does involve a time commitment, it is very flexible and should only involve a few hours a month. Students wishing to become a part of our wonderful buddy team, should be familiar with the ICA environment, and be willing to support our new students.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a buddy, or if you would like to become a valued member of our ‘Buddy Team’, please contact Jamee Tenzer at jamee.tenzer@icoachacademy.com

‘Become a Coach’ Teleconference |
| February 13th, 2008 under Activities and Teleclasses, ICA Volunteer, Newsworthy Events, [ICA EVENTS]. [ Comments: none ]

|
Throughout 2008, ICA will be holding a series of teleconferences designed to spread the word about coaching as a career and, in particular, coach training with ICA. These calls will be held monthly and will be open to anyone, from anywhere in the world.
As a student of ICA, it is important to us that you have access to this information and these calls so we will email you prior to each event. Although much of the the content of the calls will often be specific to the coach training research, you are always most welcome to attend or contribute. Plus, we would love you to pass the information on to your lists, family, friends, and colleagues - bascially, anyone basically anyone you feel would be interested in discovering more about coach
training.
The theme for this months call will be ‘Become a Qualified Coach’, and it will be focused on those who have not yet pursued coach training. The call will be hosted by Robyn Logan (Strategy Director) and Dennis Griffin (Business Manager).

Student buddies are highly valued members of our community here at ICA. Our buddy program is only as successful as the students who volunteer their time to help out our new students.
As students who have been with ICA for some time, you would remember what it was like to be the ‘newbie’. Sometimes it can be a little daunting to begin with. Being a buddy involves sharing these experiences, or assissting new students to connect with other students and the ICA community, or it may be to answer a few questions.
Yes, it does involve a time commitment, but the time is flexible and should only involve 1-2 hours per month. Our buddy team find their role very rewarding and enjoy the interaction with our new students.
Students wishing to become a part of this wonderful team, should be familiar with the ICA environment, have great email and communication skills and be willing to support our new students. We welcome students from all around the world, who are interested in becoming a student buddy!!
So come on and join our ‘BUDDY TEAM’.
If you would like to be a buddy, or find out more about being a buddy, please contact Jamee Tenzer at jamee.tenzer@icoachacademy.com
