ICA | Grief Coaching added to the Discussion Board
June 28th, 2010 under General Information, [COACHING DEVELOPMENT], [COMMUNITY]. [ Comments: none ]

Great news…. We have added a place to the discussion board for grief coaching. It is under Cafe and Social Area.

Come and join us in discussion, sharing, laughter, share marketing strategies, coaching models, stories and more.

Uniting in a coaching niche that is very particular, a niche that is greatly needed in the world today. Grief is a normal and necessary reaction to life. Healing is different for every person. There is no right or wrong way to go through grief and it can be overwhelming, thus making an opening for a coaching niche to help those lost along the path to move forward through their grief journey.

A caring heart and someone who will listen and understand the pain of loss is the healing a great grief coach can offer.

Come join in with others who have the heart to heal the broken hearted and reveal life after loss.

 All are welcomed.

Alan Seale speaks at the ICF Romania Conference, co-sponsored by ICA
May 27th, 2010 under Newsworthy Events. [ Comments: none ]

I was honored to receive Serban Chinole’s invitation to be a keynote speaker for the ICF Romania Conference on April 30th.  Katerina Kanelidou, ICA grad from Athens, was also there, and we had a super time together visiting the Transylvania countryside.

The conference was a great day, beginning with a morning presentation on executive coaching by Andrew Atter.  Andrew is from the UK originally, has lived and worked extensively in Asia, and now makes his home in Warsaw.  It was great to hear his perspectives on the coach-client-sponsor relationship.

After lunch and a surprise bit of dancing with a DJ (!), I spoke about “Calling Forth Greatness in the Human Spirit.”  The day wrapped up with MCC Alain Cardon from France talking about “To Niche or Not to Niche.”  There were about 100 participants in the conference and they seemed quite excited about the day.  I was very happy to be able to bring greetings from ICA and to support the continued development of the coaching profession in this part of the world.

Thank you to Serban and his wife Raluca for creating a really fantastic day for all!
