New Focus for Business Building: Growing Your Business through Group Coaching |
| April 30th, 2007 under Teleclasses, Program Updates, Learning and development. [ Comments: 2 ]
|
|
Group Coaching is a form of coaching that taps into the innate resourcefulness of each individual and integrates the wisdom of the group into the individual’s own insights and ideas.
Beginning the week of May 7th, our Business Building course will be facilitated as Group Coaching.
Over the past few years we have supported coaches in growing their business through imparting business related skills. However, what we have learnt is that everyone is in at a different stage of business growth. Some coaches are building websites, some coaches are trying to come up with a company name, some coaches are looking to work out a coaching system for their corporation. Everyone has different needs at different times.
Our commitment is to support our coaches to be successful and thus we have initiated group coaching delivered by a business/marketing coach. Each student must attend 12 group coaching sessions - (one hour teleclass). You can either do 12 all at once or just drop in as you need the coaching. The development of your business will be supported by your group coach and also your fellow colleagues who are participating on the call.

What’s the Difference between Coaching Practicum and Supervised Coach? |
| May 1st, 2006 under Program Updates. [ Comments: none ]
|
|
Coaching Practicum is a course to practice your coaching. You can join in and listen to coaching, participate in coaching as the client or the coach, practice your trial session techniques, and build your confidence as a coach.
Each session runs for 12 weeks in a row and then there is a four week break. You may come in at any time during the course of the twelve weeks, and you may take CP classes at different times from different teleclass leaders. During one of the twelve classes, you will take an oral exam, which consists of coaching a client or colleague in class, and then completing a reflective learning based on the questions found in the learnsite.
Supervised Coach is an assessment of your coaching skills and involves each student coaching a client (ICA or outside) for six sessions (two sessions for those in the ACCP program). It is currently only offered twice a year, beginning in February and August. Supervised Coach is the only course at ICA that you must register for, and usually one of the very last courses taken just prior to graduation. Watch for an article in the next student bulletin to learn more about the Supervised Coach assessment process.

Business Building Coach Assessment |
| February 22nd, 2006 under [STUDENT ADMIN], Program Updates. [ Comments: none ]
|
|
The assessment requirements for Business Building Coach were changed earlier this year. Below is a confirmation of these changes:
Requirements for completing Business Building:
Business Plan: All Students still need to complete the Business Plan as it continues to be a valuable learning exercise within the Business Building Coach course. This plan does not need to be submitted to ICA.
Assessment: Students must attend and maintain records of attendance for 100% of the Business Building Coach Classes (submitted to assessment@icoachacademy.com).
Exam: This course does not have an exam requirement.
So, in summary, the only requirement for Business Building Coach is that 100% of classes be attended, and a record of this submitted to assessement@icoachacademy.com.
