ICA | New Chinese CPCP | Ready by September 2008 |
| June 4th, 2008 under Uncategorized. [ Comments: none ]
|
|
Beginning in September 2008, ICA will launch a Chinese CPCP (Certified Professional Coach Program), to Chinese speaking coaches, from mainland China as well as Chinese speaking coaches living overseas.
“The program will be identical to our English program in every single aspect, except it will be conducted in Chinese putonghua language. For the existing ICA Chinese speaking coaches, this means that you can now choose to post your learning to the Chinese learning site, and conduct your peer coaching and supervised coaching in Chinese. To the mainland Chinese or the overseas Chinese, this will be one of the first internationally accredited coach training programs for Chinese speaking coaches,” said Bronwyn Bowery-Ireland.
“China is experiencing unprecedented business, social and economic growth, where the ability to maximize human potential will be crucial to China’s sustainable development. We are proud to be offering this coach training program, to prepare coaches, to help their clients master their personal and business success and the opportunities that lay ahead for them,” added Bronwyn Bowery-Ireland.
To encourage early enrolment between June and September, we are offering an Early Bird fee reduction and a no-interest payment benefit. In addition to that, we are offering a Tuition Waiver Scheme, which could save applicants an amount of USD$800.00, or 40% of the total tuition. We wish to attract the best prepared and qualified persons from mainland Chinese residents, living in a non-coastal city of China, or other overseas Chinese speaking applicants, that are currently living in a less developed country.
“We offer 4 flexible no-interest payment plans for admission during the pre-launch period,” said Dr Augustine Chow, Coach Training Services of ICA China. Please pass this information, along with the details of our Special Tuition Waiver offer, to your friends and clients, who may benefit from the new ICA CPCP offers. For details, please direct referrals or questions to augustine.chow@icoachacademy.com

Just a reminder to our students planning to graduate in June 2008. As Supervised Coach has only a few weeks remaining, we take this opportunity to remind everyone concerned that all ‘Graduation Submissions’ are due on or by Friday, 25 June, 2008, with graduation set to take place on Friday, June 6, 2008.
We encourage our graduating students to make their submissions gradually over the following weeks as this not only alleviates the stress of ‘getting’ all submissions in on time, but also allows time for our assessement team to assess these submissions as soon as possible.

You may have noticed a few changes to the curriculum. We have updated some of our modules. Kudos to our curriuculum team for their excellent work! You can find the new modules by looking for those with the word ‘new!’ in italics after the name.
We hope you like the new modules. And, if you have done your coursework with the older form of the module, that work will still count toward your self-assessment.

ICF Election - profile Karen Tweedie |

Dear Graduates
As you all know the ICF election is on and for the first time they have three candidates. One of the candidates Karen Tweedie was the ICFA (Autralasia) president and is from Australia. She has asked me to forward her profile to ICF credentialed members.
I am not endorsing her but rather passing on information to you as I agreed to.
Happy voting.
Bronwyn
Profile: Karen Tweedie PCC
ICF President elect Nominee for 2008
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srmHyXnLOoo
What is your ICF experience?
I have been a member of ICF since 2001. I joined primarily to ensure that I had a professional network to tap into and learn with. As a result of that decision I met some fantastic people - a number of whom I still collaborate and work with today, I have participated in some great Professional Development and had the opportunity to learn and grow as a leader. Each aspect of my experience with ICF contributes to the growth and professionalism of coaching.
As an ICF leader I have local, Regional and Global Leadership experience and have been part of a number of Global Taskforces and committees. I have been Board liaison with the Regulatory Committee, which gave me insight into the challenges and need for maintaining networks of intelligence to explore regulatory issues members may face globally.
As current ICF Treasurer I chair the Finance Committee. The ICF is on a firm financial footing and this year I have had the opportunity to lead a global team in bringing innovation and creativity to the task of designing a number of non-dues revenue streams for the ICF. We are designing ways to reach out to customers and consumers of coaching services, forge Strategic Alliances and find broad opportunities to achieve our strategic objectives whilst growing our financial well-being. This will allow us to increase value for all stakeholders whilst increasing ICF revenue for future initiatives - al without imposing any financial burden on our members.
I am delighted to be able to continue my gift of service as part of the ICF Global leadership team for 2008. The individuals on this Board bring a mix of skills and wide demographic representation for our membership - from Europe, Canada, the United States and Australasia.

ICA Alumni Coffee Break Calls starting 10 July
Our Graduates asked, and ICA are happy to offer it! Coffee Break Calls are now coming for Alumni as part of the ICA Community network of support. With the growing number of graduates from the ICA programmes, it was identified at the last alumni monthly meeting that this may help to bridge the gap from being in the full ICA community and now flying solo. This is not a replacement to the Alumni monthly telemeetings with ICA facilitators but to be additional and complimentary to that telecall. Read more »

Some students have indicated to us that the flow of people needing a peer coach and people needing a peer client has become a little unbalanced lately. For this reason, the training team have decided to alter this graduation requirement. For the future, instead of having to find 3 ICA peer clients and 2 external clients, students will be able to have 2 ICA clients and 3 external clients. Read more »
